Competing Democrats Off Delegation At Four Day Summit
At Carmel a four day summit of a 10 member executive committee selects the Democratic National Convention delegation. The panel reportedly bars announced candidates from office from inclusion especially in primaries. If enforced, Dr Wallace Moore and Councilman D Patrick Ahern would be excluded. Moore had been nominated Feb 20 by an 18th Congressional District caucus. Ahern’s name was not proposed. The ruling cites the large pool of applicants for the 162 member delegation and 80 alternates.
