Five Maury jail fire victims mourned in Columbia funeral
Several hundred mourners attended a funeral service in Columbia for five family members who died in the weekend Maury County jail fire that killed two inmates and visitors. The blaze started in an isolation cell after an Ohio runaway allegedly set it. arson charges were filed against the juvenile suspect Andy Zinmer. The tragedy prompted officials to review flame retardant foam used in padded cells amid warnings that such materials pose severe fire risks.
