State Senator Denies Bill Linked to Insurance Stock Profit
Republican Sen. Richard J. Dolwig of Atherton says there is no connection between a bill he sponsored and gains from an insurance company in which he holds stock. A Los Angeles reporter claimed his investment could grow about 185000 due to a state insurance commissioner decision. Dolwig noted potential attorney fees but cited no exact amount. The insurance commissioner denied any link between the decision and Dolwig’s legislative role.
