Long Beach Swim Plan OKd by Recreation Commission
A nonprofit program for Long Beach youth ages seven and up to learn competitive swimming won in principle approval from the Recreation Commission. The plan would fund a center at the Plaza Recreation site next year, with Dr. Biller noting it could become a premier aquatic facility. The panel also approved a PTA after-school recreation program, contingent on City Council funding of an additional $3,000, as Paramount Valley School District serves the Long Beach area.
