TWA engineers and pilots reach noninflationary pact
iTWA and the International Association of Flight Engineers reach a settlement with McIntyre Goldberg and Feinsinger advising that the agreement preserves engineers jobs and their representational rights while allowing a crew reduction from four to three. The deal includes a joint review committee and a promise to train engineers for cockpit seats with priority over pilots, avoiding a strike and easing administration pressure. Kennedy factores hailed the pact as a statesman like resolution and White House commended mediators and company officers.
