Fullerton Ad Turner Heralds Island of Knowledge
Cal State Fullerton enjoys a featured praise as an Isle of Knowledge after art major J Arthur Banuelos designed a Time Magazine ad. The college reports 45 inquiries from the ad, produced as a class project and funded by the magazine’s nonprofit space offer. Banuelos, a Buena Park native and 1964 entrant from St. Paul’s High, used a Ralph Sockman quote about knowledge and wonder. The design shows a black block with a white island on gray, highlighting the campus motto. Fullerton expects 10 730 students in September from 5 177 this year.
