Prime minister attacked on arrival at Sato funeral
In Tokyo a 4 year old right wing activist attacked Prime Minister Takeo Miki as he arrived at Budokan hall for the national funeral of Eisaku Sato. Police identified the assailant as Hiroyoshi Fudeyasu, a repeat offender, who was subdued and detained. Doctors said Miki was not badly hurt but advised rest. The funeral drew reps from 91 countries including Imelda Marcos and D. R. Willesee amid plans honoring Sato, Japan's longest serving postwar prime minister and Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

The court said the stay violated First Amendment rights, while not endorsing the defendants' conduct.
