Montagnard health program in Kontum battered by war
Missionary doctor Tom Coles, formerly a Green Beret, built a network of Montagnard health officers serving 14 villages in Kontum province. As the North Vietnamese offensive closed roads and cut access, he lost most staffs, facing evacuation and uncertainty about whether a health program can resume. Coles contemplates staying to restart training and certification with Vietnamese officials watching for government support.
