Grim Los Angeles County smog report released
A four page study from the Los Angeles County Air Pollution Control District shows county smog failing state clean air standards on 246 days in 1969 and 42 days in 1970. It attributes most photochemical smog to mobile sources and warns of a continuing fuel crisis and higher pollutant emissions if auto industry improvements lag.
