California Kennedy delegates stay uncommitted at large meeting
An Associated Press poll of 114 California Kennedy pledged delegates shows only 19 willing to back McCarthy, six for Humphrey and two for Kennedy. Many remain uncontacted or unwilling to endorse a nominee, with talks focusing on staying uncommitted and possibly voting Kennedy on the first ballot as a memorial.

Wallace Sees National Convention For Running Mate
Presidential candidate George Wallace urged that his American Independent party may hold a national convention to nominate a running mate on a third party ticket. He spoke in Atlanta during a Southern fund raising trip and said a convention could be needed as a legal technicality. He did not name his preferred running mate and indicated Marvin Griffin merely consented to his name to meet ballot requirements. Wallace defended his stance against libel accusations and pledged to press allied nations to align with the U.S. if he wins.
