Fireworks Blows Off Boy's Hand in Classroom
A 15 year old New York high school student, Angelo Rosselli, lost his left hand Thursday when a giant firecracker he was making exploded in a classroom. He attempted to convert 30 firecrackers into a super firecracker for the Fourth of July and was described as an outstanding student. The blast damaged the room but 30 other students were unharmed. A weapon seller, Andrew di Simone, 40, of the Bronx, was arrested on charges of possession and sale of fireworks. He allegedly sold the firecrackers involved. Rosselli’s condition was listed as critical. A plea arrangement for another case reduced potential punishment for a separate shooting.
