Music union sued over pay from TV ads
Los Angeles musicians filed a fourth damage suit against the American Federation of Musicians and its Music Performance Trust Fund seeking 2.27 million dollars for reuse of their recordings in television and radio commercials. The suit names AFM President James Petrillo and 38 musicians as defendants, aiming to stop payments to the fund and demand wages directly from record companies studios and stations. Norway to accept U.S. missile aid defense ministers say the gear will not alter the nation’s defensive posture and follows warnings against hosting atomic missiles.
