Mel the Entertainer at Rocco's Five Year Run
Mel, a versatile pianist and singer, marks his 56th month at Rocco's Italian American restaurant where he performs Monday through Saturday from 5:30 PM. A showman with a magnetic, restrained style, he plays piano and Hammond organ, sings Broadway classics, country tunes, and his own compositions while also acting as a producer and booking agent. Born in Mobile, Alabama, he began piano lessons after asking neighbors to play their pianos.
