Stanford study says do not extend BART to San Mateo
Stanford University students conclude extending BART into San Mateo County would cost about 900 million dollars and take ten years, with limited rider reach and minimal impact on car use. They favor upgrading Southern Pacific commuter service at 125 million dollars over one or two years and improving Greyhound service and car pools.
