Bugliosi sues Norris in $2 million slander suit
Los Angeles lawyer Vincent Bugliosi filed a $2 million libel and slander suit against rival William Norris and two others, alleging intentional emotional distress and abuse of legal processes to ruin Bugliosi's bid for attorney general. Denny had filed a counter suit May 10 claiming defamation.

Forgiven motorists fill coffers
Los Angeles County and its courts end a two month forgiven warrants program that began April 1. Officials say 106,191 warrants were cleared, raising about 1.5 million dollars in otherwise uncollected fines. Potential $1 million in taxpayer savings from fewer arrests was noted by Supervisor Kenneth Hahn.

Slant Six engines beat rivals in economy tests
In a fuel economy test run in city and highway conditions the Plymouth Duster and Dodge Dart Sport with 225 Slant Six engines showed higher mileage than the Nova or Maverick sixes and even outran the four cylinder Mustang II in light city driving. Hip room favors the Darts and Plymouths over Ford GM or Volkswagen in their price class. Tests were sanctioned and certified by United States Avio Club in January and February 1974. All cars had manual transmissions, with the Dart Sport and Duster sixes using the standard 2.76 rear axle.
