Study finds abortions easily done
Large U S study of more than 22 thousand abortions reports major complications in about 1 percent of cases and expects the rate to fall as doctors gain experience. The study by the Population Council’s Joint Program for the Study of Abortion involved 60 teaching hospitals in 12 states and the District of Columbia.
