Five indicted in Orange County fraud case details
Five men were indicted by the Orange County grand jury on fraud charges tied to stock and securities sales. Robert L. Officer Kills Man After Reported Threat on Long Beach
Lyswood police officer shot and killed Mil lard Chambers Jr, 32, at the scene after Chambers allegedly attacked with a glass tipped stick. Investigators said the incident began when a pedestrian reported threats on Long Beach Boulevard around 12 09 a m. The officer pursued for four blocks to Carlin Avenue as Chambers brandished the weapon, and a chemical spray failed to subdue him before the officer fired.
