Bloodbath warned if South Vietnam aid ends
A State Department rep in Vietnam says mass executions and repression will follow a U.S. withdrawal. Donald H Rochlan of the North Vietnamese Affairs Division cites chats with defectors and POWs, claiming a Communist takeover would trigger mass murders and a bloodbath with “death warrants” on Viet Cong “blood debt” lists. He notes U.S. atrocities like My Lai are crimes of passion, not policy.
