New heart drugs may aid asthma and diabetes treatment
A California research team reports a new group of heart strengthening drugs may aid conditions such as asthma psoriasis and diabetes. In tests with dogs the PDI inhibitor increased heart pumping strength without raising heart rate or blood pressure. Experimental patient trials were under way but not reported.
