Itinerant bricklayer heirs hunt for $100000 estate
Sacramento notices reveal the state may receive about $100,000 from the estate of Elmer Leonard of El Centro who died at 87 with no children or valid will. Five half-siblings claimed Mrs Leonard, but no claimant exists for Elmer Leonard’s portion, triggering possible state escheat after five years. The Leonard case would be the largest escheat in state history.
