Assistance League Debutantes To Make Formal Bows at Ball
The 16th annual Hectation Ball of the Assistance League of Long Sixteen Debutantes will be held at the Grand Salon of the Queen Mary with a Oriental atmosphere. About 60 guests will attend a 4:30 p.m. reception, followed by dinner and dancing to the Joe Shay Orchestra. John Calvin will present the debutantes, led by Nancy Jane Albin and 19 others, as they walk amid white lanterns and doctored plant arches. Proceeds benefit various League philanthropies including orthodontia for underprivileged children and scholarships.
