Free storage helps shippers in Long Beach port strike

Long Beach port officials extend free storage for inbound cargo seven days and outbound cargo ten days as the 19 day waterfront strike limits movement. The move, ratified by the Board of Harbor Commissioners, mirrors a LA Port action and aims to prevent cargo ownership during a prolonged stoppage.
