Boy Walks on Pool Bottom Loses Life

An intensive air sea and ground search failed to locate the missing U S Air Force C47 carrying 16 personnel on a routine flight from Clark Field Philippines to Taipei. Radio contact was lost Tuesday night near Taiwan Formosa Strait. All seven crew and nine passengers are military. The aircraft is believed to be in the mountains between Taipei and Formosa Strait, making wreckage hard to find. Some speculate a water landing in the strait.
