Pezband aims for young crowd with new album and live shows
The Oak Park Illinois band Pezband now based in New Jersey hopes to attract a pre teen audience for its debut album. They describe a bright pop sound with roots in the Kinks Raspberries and early Beatles and note strong live performances with heavy guitar riffs and instrumental hooks. The group collaborates on songs mostly about love dancing and youth and uses guest horn players on the album while weighing future singles.
