Calley visits ill father from Gainesville hospital flight
Lt. William L Calley under house arrest since his My Lai conviction flew today by military transport to Gainesville Georgia to visit his seriously ill father. It marked only the second time he has left Fort Benning Georgia since 1971 and followed a prior trip to Fort McPherson Georgia during Capt Ernest Medina's trial when he was not called to testify.
