Son of prison official found dead in jail cell
Aziz Tucson reports 23 year old David A. Brandfas, son of Vale Brandas, a former Florence state prison assistant warden, was found hanged in his jail cell Monday after being charged with murder in his estranged wife Christina Brandfas's death. He was housed alone and discovered during a routine check. The couple had been separated about three weeks. Brandfas had been arrested July 4.

Sandra Jean Mark died instantly as a tree was struck while she and 7 year old Jean George sheltered from a thunderstorm.
