Supervisor blasts colleagues over county wage hike plan
Los Angeles County Supervisor Pete Schabarum accused James Hayes Kenneth Hahn and Ed Edelman of caving to union demands and approving a 50 million plus package for 1977 78. He claimed leaks occurred and urged a public demonstration as unions cover 70 000 workers. Edelman said negotiations remain delicate and Hayes called Schabarum’s actions political.
