Lynwood Man Found Dead Outside Car Sales Office
A 16 year old Lynwood resident was shot once in the head and found near Carter Motor Sales at 1411 Atlantic Blvd around 9 am. Deputies said the victim lived at 12407 Atlantic Blvd and that investigators cannot confirm a motive or whether a robbery occurred.

Wife, 24, stabbed to death in San Pedro home
A 21-year-old San Pedro housewife, Sue Terri Urquijo of 1412 Bert Place, was found about 7:30 am by her husband Henry after returning home from work. She was stabbed with two forks and discovery notes possible smuggling. Police withheld motive pending investigation.

George Ritchie oil pioneer of Signal Hill died Sunday at 72. He founded the Ritchie Corporation and lived in Long Beach 55 years.
