Turncoat seeks Berkeley teaching post after China stay
Adams, once in China as translator for the Foreign Language Bureau in Peking, plans to return to the United States and seek a Mandarin teaching position at Berkeley. He says democracy beats Chinese governance, and he recorded appeals to Negro soldiers in Vietnam urging ceasefire and equality at home. He studied out of curiosity and to gain an education, and predicts Chinese intervention if threatened. He cites uncertainty about his war stance and mentions Stanford and Berkeley as study options.
