Signups of 18 year olds for voting urged

California Secretary of State Edmund G Brown Jr announced access to voting for 18 to 20 year olds following the constitutional amendment ratification making 18 the voting age. Roberts and George Brophy seeking the vacant 2nd District seat. Brown said the change cuts election costs and expands participation, citing census data on 13 to 24 year olds.
