Airline boss objects to proposed merger
Continental Airlines president Robert Six testified before CAB about a Western Air Lines American Airlines merger. He argued such a merger could harm competition and that he prefers vigorous competition and potential negotiation only if Western is ready in good faith. He denied pursuing a merger with American and recalled an incidental past conversation with George Spater.
