Three Terminal Island fish processing firms paid five thousand dollars each to California for polluting Los Angeles Harbor waters during a 30 day period in late October and early November. In Sacramento the Senate approved a bill by Sen. Ralph Dills to exempt Lockheed Aircraft Corp from about 1 million dollars in delinquent state sales taxes. The measure, 28-7, clears the way for Assembly consideration and stems from Lockheed’s 1971 reorganization involving two wholly owned subsidiaries.
