Long Beach Lawyer Accused by Fellow Attorney
A Long Beach attorney was named in a battery report after an incident at 415 W Ocean Blvd. where he spat at fellow lawyer Phil Poppler and stomped out a cigar in a bar area of the office building amid a courtroom dispute. Robert N. Cleaves, 36, of Los Angeles, said the incident followed a subpoena served around 10:20 a.m. during a court action between their clients.
