Fear Girl Kidnapped in Orange County Navy Aids Search
The missing girl Allison Stewart, 11 or 12, from McGaugh School near Seal Beach, vanished after lunch on a rainy Tuesday. Navy and Marines volunteers joined the search with police and school officials noting her shy nature and routine. Her family, neighbors, and classmates described her as an only child who left notes and would not get into strangers cars. Authorities compared her case to earlier disappearances of Lyn Tomkins and Dorothy Brown, with Brown body later found near Huntington Beach. Allison wore a beige skirt and three-quarter coat with a floral umbrella and blue eyes and brown hair. The search continued as investigators reviewed leads and reviewed past similar cases.
