Navy P2V Neptune crashes into San Diego Bay

A Navy P2V Neptune patrol plane from Patrol Squadron 721 diving into San Diego Bay killed one and left four missing. A search began at 10 30 p m after radio contact was lost within the required three hour window. Diversions of calls and debris amid the search as Coast Guard cutters and other vessels combed the water for signs of the missing crew and wreckage.
