Testimony ties Agnew to kickback scheme in Maryland
Former aide Jerome Wolff testified under oath that Spiro Agnew was directly involved in a kickback scheme with nine engineers and one financial institution while he was Maryland governor. Wolff said about 144000 dollars in payoffs were shared among him Bud Hammerman and Agnew, with 25 percent to Wolff and 50 percent to Agnew.
