License Plate Plan to Combat Pollution Stalls
California's personalized license plate program remains slow with only 14,000 of 10 million autos carrying the special plates since last August. Gov Reagan and lawmakers touted pollution funds but sales lag, while DMV reports rising daily applications, about 21,000 total received and 14,000 approved, with most plates costing 85 and 20 dollars directed to the pollution fund.
