Ecuador Frees Last Tuna Boats After Seizures
Nine tuna boats seized off Ecuador since January were freed with fines totaling over 500000 paid by boat owners. Ed Silva of the American Tuna Boat Association notes taxpayers may bear long term costs as U S sanctions and 200 mile claims were challenged amid Quito protests and a Los Angeles rally by crew families.
