Council approves longer airport cafe lease plan
Long Beach City Council approved a proposed amendment to the Municipal Code to allow a lease longer than ten years for restaurant facilities in the airport terminal. Assistant City Manager Robert Creighton said the current ten year limit hampers investment and that bids last June drew no responses. Once adopted, the city will seek new bids and base lease length on proposed investment by bidders.
