Congress Debates Redwood Park Plans and Alternatives
Congress considers a 90,000 acre Redwood Park bill led by Rep. Cohelan and Sen. Metcalf with Sierra Club support, while Udall backs a smaller Mill Creek park and Clint Reagan Clausen proposals seek private land limits. Udall notes administration will propose a Kuchel style park, contrasting with Reagan Evans sentiment on Cascades. House sponsor Cohelan criticizes the Reagan Clausen plan as weak.
