Complete study on college protests shows nonviolent trend
The Urban Research Corporation study covering 232 campuses from January to June 1969 found most protests non disruptive, with 215000 students participating in 292 major actions. It notes new left groups were minor and that concerns centered less on Vietnam and more on campus conditions.

A study of 292 campus protests finds 49 percent involved black demands for such concessions as black studies and faculty, 44 percent sought student power, and 22 percent focused on war issues. Draft concerns were minor. The report notes blacks achieved at least one demand in 49 percent of cases while white and mixed groups faced higher rejection rates.
