Brazil seeks U S aid for disaster relief
Planning Minister Roberto Campos will seek 16 million dollars from the United States to repair damage from this week's heavy rains. President Humberto Castelo Branco said Campos would present the request in Washington while disaster workers comb mudslide sites for more victims. The death toll in Rio and nearby cities reached 351 with 1,184 hospitalizations. officials fear the total may climb.
