US Plans New A Arms Effects Handbook For 1958

Washington reports the government aims to issue a new official handbook on nuclear weapons effects in April. The volume will cover blast, heat, radiation and fallout, superseding a 1957 Atomics Commission and Defense Department publication. It will include 1958 testing and corrected 1957 technical data for defense and other agencies. In Cuba, Che Guevara urged workers to accept production increases and warned about absenteeism as Havana broadcasts monitor a nuclear test fallout context.
