Microwave Ovens and Color TV Radiation Warned by Finch and Nader
HEW Secretary Robert H. Finch and consumer critic Ralph Nader issued separate warnings Sunday about radiation hazards from microwave cooking ovens and color television sets. Finch cited tests showing leaks in ovens and invited manufacturers to a Jan. 12 meeting. Nader warned millions exposed to TV radiation and urged hearings on the Radiation Control Act of 1968.
