FTC bans fake shaving act ads by Colgate Ted Bates agency
The Federal Trade Commission ruled television ads for Colgate Colgate Rapid Shave deceived viewers by using a faux sandpaper test. A plastic panel coated with sand soaked in the product simulated shaving a beard in one stroke. The commission forbade camera tricks and fake demonstrations in all ads for such products to prevent deceptive marketing.

Suspect Surrenders in North Carolina Blonde Stabbing
Christine Moore a 19 year old ice skating instructor was stabbed five times in a duplex. Yoel Lee Sage 22, the suspect and neighbor, gave themselves up to police after Moore died from the injuries. Police say the stabbing occurred Tuesday night and Moore was found with multiple wounds.
