Saigon reports that U.S. military units in South Vietnam formed five man negotiating teams led by lieutenants colonel to speed up any future Viet Cong prisoner releases. Five captive American servicemen were freed in a 42 minute session and flown to a Long Binh hospital.

An American helicopter crewman, Earl F. Guernsey of California, held in Cambodia since November 27, will be released and home in a week.
