Third GI Ordered to Trial on My Lai Pleads Innocent
The third GI in the My Lai case, Charles E. Hutto of Tallulah Louisiana, pleads innocent at a pretrial hearing as his trial for assault with intent to murder proceeds. Other defendants and dates are noted with court-martial hearings set for January and February at Fort Hood and Third Army Headquarters. The judge warned against Fifth Amendment refusals and granted access to the Peers Report for defense.
