Young People Turn to Outdoors for Escape and Savings
A survey of college and high school students shows more than half camped last summer or fall and about 20 percent four times. West youths lead in camping, with 65 percent reporting at least one trip, while North Central youths show least interest. Reasons include fresh air, peace, freedom, and cost savings.
