45 Ft Note Goes to L B Glen Vietnam Soldier
Long Beach soldier Earl Thomas Woodward, 22, in the 199th Infantry Brigade, received a 45-foot-long mail scroll at a Vietnam outpost. The scroll bore greetings from La Puente High School coeds and his sister’s PE class. Woodward, a Jordan High School graduate and former LBCC student, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Woodward of 6831 Lime Ave. He noted the scroll’s attention and said many buddies copied excerpts, but he could not respond to all.
