Psych doctor says cop hero became robot in killing
Dr. Thomas J. Meyers testified in Los Angeles Superior Court that accused wife killer Manuel Pacheco acted like an automaton and was unconscious during the murders of Anita Pacheco and Alfred Thatcher. He linked the act to Pacheco’s trauma from his failing marriage, noting impulsive traits and lack of malice capacity. Earlier testimony cited a threat warning and the defense’s diminished capacity theory.
